Jonathon Wood

Jonathon has over 10 years experience as a Town/Urban Planner in both the public and private sectors.

Jonathon commenced his planning experience at Penrith City Council and then progressed his studies at the University of New South Wales whilst working as a Project Manager for a small development firm. Returning to Penrith City Council during, and following completion of, a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning Jonathon then progressed to the private sector and joining Think Planners in 2011.

In 2014 Jonathon became a Director of Think Planners and has been working, along with fellow Directors Adam Byrnes and David Borger, in continuing to grow Think Planners into a medium sized planning firm that has an excellent client base and a long list of successfully approved and completed projects.

Jonathon has extensive statutory planning experience across a wide variety of complex development proposals, including urban release area planning.

Given Think Planners focus on Western Sydney, Jonathon has an exceptional understanding of current, former and newly merged Councils and their planning controls in the region, including Penrith City, City of Parramatta, Blue Mountains Council, Cumberland Council, Canterbury Bankstown Council, the Hills Shire Council, Blacktown Council, Hornsby Council, and Fairfield Council.

Outside of work Jonathon enjoys long rides on his Kawasaki Ninja ZX14 on black twisty roads, at speed.
